We are seeking an Automation Applications Engineer to develop custom automation solutions for manufacturing and packaging applications. This role involves equipment design, application evaluation, testing, and project pricing.
The ideal candidate has experience with industrial automation, robotics, conveyors, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to develop practical solutions based on customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D and 3D equipment layouts using SolidWorks, DraftSight, or AutoCAD.
- Design conceptual automation solutions for manufacturing and end-of-line packaging applications.
- Review customer requirements and determine appropriate automation solutions.
- Evaluate equipment capabilities, technical requirements, and potential project challenges.
- Support hands-on equipment testing and application validation.
- Develop equipment pricing, cost estimates, and project quotations.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain component pricing and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams to develop automation solutions.
- Assist with equipment selection, project scope, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation, applications engineering, machine building, or related industries preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar CAD software.
- Understanding of industrial automation equipment and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Comfortable working hands-on with automation equipment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
