Position: Delivery Driver Associate – Non-Exempt
Reports To: Delivery Manager
Compensation:$23.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Delivery Driver Associate plays an essential role in providing an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of appliances. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. As a representative of Agren Appliance, the Delivery Driver Associate is expected to provide outstanding customer service while protecting company equipment, customer products, and property.

• Safely and efficiently deliver appliances to customers, ensuring timely delivery and preventing damage to products and customer property.

• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude during all customer interactions.

• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Address customer questions or concerns professionally, escalating issues to the Delivery Manager when appropriate.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including the proper use of required safety equipment.

• Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and safe driving practices.

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns, equipment damage, or safety issues to management.

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and delivery equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and effective time management to support scheduled deliveries.

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

• Collaborate effectively with delivery team members, warehouse personnel, and other departments to support daily operations.

• Assist with additional assignments, projects, and operational needs as directed by management.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles operated.

• Must have a clean driving record that meets Agren Appliance's established motor vehicle and insurance eligibility standards.

• Must be eligible to operate company vehicles under the company's commercial auto insurance policy.

• Must complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review as a condition of employment and maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.

• Must comply with all applicable traffic laws, company vehicle policies, and established safe driving practices.

• Must immediately notify management of any driver's license suspension, revocation, restriction, or other change in driving status that could affect eligibility to operate a company vehicle.

• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety, customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.

• Must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Failure to maintain required driving qualifications or insurance eligibility may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment, consistent with company policy and applicable law.

This position requires frequent physical activity associated with safely handling, transporting, and delivering large household appliances.

• Frequently move and maneuver appliances weighing more than 200 pounds, using appropriate equipment and team-lifting techniques.

• Frequently lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds from waist level to overhead, with assistance or equipment as appropriate.

• Frequently push or pull loads weighing between 50 and 200 pounds.

• Frequently perform gripping and handling tasks involving forces of up to 75 pounds.

• Regularly bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary for appliance delivery.

• Safely enter, exit, and operate company delivery vehicles.

• Communicate effectively and frequently with customers, coworkers, and management.

• Work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to changing weather conditions.

Employees are expected to follow all established safety procedures and use appropriate lifting techniques, equipment, and assistance to minimize the risk of injury.
