Job Description
An established furniture manufacturer in Oconomowoc, WI, is seeking aMachine Operatorto support the production of custom furniture, cabinetry, and components. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor flat panel machinery while ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficient production. Candidates with experience operating flat panel equipment, edge banders, or similar machinery are especially encouraged to apply. Individuals with cabinetry, carpentry, or related manufacturing experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor flat panel machinery used in 32mm panel production.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment according to production specifications and technical drawings.
- Inspect raw materials and finished panels to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting, reporting mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Record production information, maintain a safe work area, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience operating flat panel machinery, edge banders, or similar equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with 32mm system standards used in cabinetry or furniture manufacturing.
- Manufacturing, cabinetry, carpentry, or maintenance experience will also be considered.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and operating instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow safety procedures while working around moving manufacturing equipment.

The base pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
