Mold Production Operator

TAFCO is seeking dependable, safety-conscious individuals to join our manufacturing team as Mold

Production Operators.

This hands-on manufacturing position supports the production of insulated panels used in TAFCO products.

Employees work with molding fixtures, foam-injection processes, panels, tools, and production equipment

while following established safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare molding fixtures, panels, materials, and work areas for production.
• Position panels and components according to production requirements.
• Operate molding fixtures and related equipment after required training.
• Inject foam into panels according to established procedures.
• Monitor the molding process and finished product for quality.
• Remove and handle completed panels using established material-handling procedures.
• Clean and prepare panels and molding fixtures.
• Read and use a tape measure to verify dimensions.
• Read and follow applicable production drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
• Safely operate approved saws, hand tools, and power tools after training.
• Perform visual quality checks and report defects or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work with team members and the Foreman to meet production goals.
• Follow all safety procedures and required PPE practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, construction, assembly, or similar experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to use or learn to use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to read or learn basic production drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and tools after training.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling of production materials. Employees must be able to safely perform required material-handling activities and participate in team lifting when appropriate.

Training & Development

TAFCO provides onboarding, safety orientation, and position-specific training. Employees are expected to develop competency in assigned responsibilities, equipment, tools, quality requirements, and safety procedures as they progress in their position.

Safety

Employees must follow all TAFCO safety requirements, use required personal protective equipment, operate equipment only after receiving appropriate training and authorization, and immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other safety concerns.
