Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures under radiologist supervision, operating C-arm fluoroscopy and other IR equipment.
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures; monitor vitals and post-procedure recovery as needed.
- Assist in IR procedures with strict adherence to sterile technique, radiation safety, and contrast administration protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, IR nurses, and technologists; participate in call coverage as required (at least 1 weekday per week and every 3–4 weekends, per department needs).
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic system within the past 2 years, including orders, procedure notes, and related data.
- Ensure room readiness, equipment function, supply readiness, and patient safety throughout the shift.
Requirements
- ARRT certification (radiologic technologist) and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with strong critical care and interventional radiology procedural experience.
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (required).
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; capable of meeting call requirements and adapting to IR department needs.
