Account Manager Sales Representative

We are seeking a proactive Account Manager with strong ESP sales experience and established relationships with operators in the Permian Basin to grow sales of our ESP product line.

About the Position

The Account Manager will build a strong market presence for the ESP product line and convert customer relationships and new opportunities into consistent sales growth. This is a hands-on sales position requiring daily visits to customer offices, direct prospecting, and active engagement with local operators. The candidate must reside in Midland or Odessa, Texas.

The ideal candidate already knows key decision-makers at Permian Basin operators, understands ESP applications, and can use an established industry network to generate business quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales of the ESP product line throughout the Midland/Odessa area and the Permian Basin.
• Visit customer offices daily, make introductory visits and prospecting calls, and actively pursue new business.
• Use existing relationships with operators and key decision-makers to secure meetings, identify opportunities, and win business.
• Develop new accounts and strengthen existing customer relationships through consistent contact and follow-up.
• Understand customer production challenges and work with technical and operations teams to propose suitable ESP solutions.
• Coordinate quotations, proposals, bids, and tender submissions; follow opportunities through negotiation and closing.
• Build and maintain an active sales pipeline and deliver progress against agreed sales targets.
• Monitor market activity, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
• Coordinate with operations, field service, and logistics to support equipment orders, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and weekly business activity reports; support company ERP processes as required.
• Represent Novomet at relevant customer meetings and industry events.
• Follow company QHSE requirements during customer visits, field activities, and all business operations.

Qualifications

• Strong, demonstrated sales experience with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP), including success winning new business.
• Established industry connections and an existing network of relationships with operators in the Permian Basin.
• Existing relationships with key customer decision-makers and the ability to turn those relationships into sales opportunities.
• Must currently reside in Midland or Odessa, Texas.
• Proven ability to prospect independently, manage a sales pipeline, negotiate, and close business.
• Strong understanding of ESP applications and customer requirements in oil and gas production.
• Excellent relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and collaborate with technical and operational teams.
• Technical qualification or bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of experience in ESP sales or related technical sales preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Daily travel to customer offices throughout the Midland/Odessa area and regular travel within the Permian Basin.
• Ability to visit field sites and workshop facilities as required and comply with customer site requirements.
• Potential exposure to outdoor conditions, temperature variations, noise, and oilfield equipment during site visits.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and safety shoes, where required.

Working Conditions:
