Job Description

We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to provide onsite Tier I technical support for end users in Fort Collins, Colorado. This contract opportunity is well suited for an early-career IT specialist who enjoys hands-on hardware work, solving day-to-day technical issues, and delivering responsive customer service. The position will begin with a strong focus on device preparation, workstation deployment, and equipment configuration, with room to grow into broader desktop and end-user support functions within an aerospace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and related equipment for employee use.

• Troubleshoot routine issues involving Windows-based workstations, peripheral devices, software applications, and basic network connectivity.

• Set up and support Microsoft Teams-enabled meeting room technology, including diagnosing common operational problems.

• Receive, track, and update technical support requests through the organization's ticket management system.

• Assist with onboarding technology setup, workstation rollouts, and scheduled hardware replacement efforts.

• Perform imaging, configuration, and readiness checks to ensure systems meet user and business requirements before delivery.

• Handle common desktop support tasks such as software installation, password assistance, and basic user account support.

• Escalate unresolved or higher-impact incidents to advanced support teams while maintaining clear documentation and communication.

• At least 1 year of experience in a Tier I help desk, desktop support, or similar end-user support role.
• Practical experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs, laptops, monitors, and other desktop peripherals.
• Working knowledge of Windows desktop environments, including support for Windows 11 and general familiarity with Windows 10.
• Ability to follow defined support procedures, document work accurately, and manage tasks independently in an onsite setting.
• Foundational understanding of troubleshooting Microsoft applications and desktop hardware issues.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and common support activities such as password resets and user account assistance.
• Experience with desktop imaging or workstation deployment processes.
• Exposure to ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, endpoint management tools, or entry-level IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ is a plus.
