Senior Partnerships Manager

This is a senior business development role, with much in common with a traditional sales position. You’ll spend most of your time with employers across Midland, Odessa, Big Spring, Pecos, Fort Stockton, and Monahans. You’ll learn what they need, show them how Skillpoint graduates can help, and turn them into active partners who tour students through their facilities, mentor them, advise on curriculum, and hire them. You’ll also lead the team that supports our students from the classroom to their first job. What you’ll do

Build employer partnerships

• Find, pursue, and manage relationships with employers in electrical, HVAC, plumbing and manufacturing
• Arrange mentor visits, site tours, job walks, and financial literacy presentations for every Permian Basin cohort
• Maintain relationships with local financial institutions for student financial literacy presentations
• Run employer advisory committee meetings and bring employer and apprenticeship input back into our programs
• Keep our CRM (monday.com) current and accurate
• Represent Skillpoint at partner events, including some evenings and weekends

Lead student success and employment

• Supervise Student Success and Student Employment Coordinators, who support students during training and for up to a year after graduation
• Drive toward our goals of a 90% graduate response rate and an 80% in-field employment rate, overseeing graduate follow-up, data management, and reporting
• Handle student accountability issues and help students get past obstacles to finishing the program

Raise money and run events

• Lead our Annual Employer Partner Luncheon & Fundraiser, including sponsorships and auction items
• Run unrestricted giving campaigns, including online and year-end giving
• Use employer relationships to bring in sponsorships, donor introductions, and grant support letters
• Invite employers to graduations and make sure they show up

Own our local marketing

• Direct our social media contractor and PR firm across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
• Coordinate marketing materials, event communications, and outreach campaigns
• Make sure graduations, partnerships, and wins are posted promptly and often

What you bring

• 3–5 years in sales, business development, employer relations, account management or similar relationship-driven work
• A track record of finding opportunities, building a pipeline, and hitting measurable goals
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 5 years
• Confident public speaking and meeting facilitation
• Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and major social platforms
• Ability to manage a heavy workload with little supervision
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly across the region, with some evenings and weekends

Highly preferred

• Existing connections in the Permian Basin’s electrical, HVAC, plumbing or manufacturing industries
• Management experience
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
