Assembly Associate

The Greer Group is recruiting for an Assembler II to join a manufacturing team in the East Asheville area! This is a great opportunity for someone with previous assembly experience who enjoys hands-on work, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality products.

In this role, you’ll assemble mechanical and electronic components, work with cables and circuit board products, use hand and power tools, and perform quality checks to make sure finished products meet specifications. If you have a steady hand, good attention to detail, and enjoy working with your hands, we’d love to hear from you!

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Location: East Asheville, NC

What You’ll Do

• Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Build cabinets and enclosures using hand and power tools.
• Work with cable assemblies, including cutting and preparing fiber optic cable.
• Operate production equipment, including solder pots and insertion machines, after training.
• Perform final assembly, testing, and quality inspections on electronic products.
• Identify defects or discrepancies and help resolve quality issues.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate product records.
• Work with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
• Work with limited supervision after training and assist with overtime as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic assembly drawings.
• Experience using small hand tools and working with detailed components.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to learn and pass solder pot certification.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements: This position involves standing and walking throughout the workday, bending and reaching as needed, and lifting up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
