Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) to join their team in the Orlando, Florida market.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in land surveying, project coordination, and the ability to oversee surveying activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee land surveying projects from initial planning through completion.
- Review and approve surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate field crews and office personnel to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
- Perform quality control reviews of survey data, calculations, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Florida surveying regulations and professional standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to surveying team members.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in Florida.
- Experience managing land surveying projects in Florida.
- Strong understanding of boundary, topographic, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
- Proficiency with surveying software and modern survey equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
