Job Description
We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to oversee core close activities and support accurate financial reporting for a growing, multi-entity organization in Texas. This role is well suited to someone who brings a strong grasp of intercompany accounting, works carefully through balance sheet support, and consistently meets monthly deadlines. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while improving processes that strengthen reporting quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring entries are posted accurately and reporting deadlines are met on schedule.
• Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger activity, and supporting schedules to maintain reliable financial records.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve intercompany differences across multiple entities in a timely manner.
• Develop, maintain, and refine allocation methodologies to support shared cost distribution as the organization expands.
• Partner with audit stakeholders by organizing account support and documentation needed for financial statement reviews and audits.
• Work daily within NetSuite, Ramp, and Rippling to manage accounting activity related to payables, payroll, and entity-level reporting.
• Monitor accounting transactions for accuracy and consistency, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions when needed.• 2-4 years of accounting experience in public accounting or within a multi-entity industry environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and balance resolution across entities.
• Familiarity with financial statement audit support and preparing documentation behind account balances.
• Strong account reconciliation skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and comfort using platforms such as NetSuite, Ramp, and Rippling.
