Warehouse Shipping Associate

POSITION OBJECTIVE AND SUMMARY

To coordinate and perform all shipping activities to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all parts orders and systems delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general guidelines of management

· Prepares and creates shipping labels, Bills of Ladings, shipping Manifests, and documents for all parts and systems orders.

·Coordinates and schedules domestic and international shipping with freight forwarders as needed.

· Ensures timely delivery by following shipping instructions

· Checks and verifies changes in shipping requirements.

· Organizes and maintains inventory of shipping material and supplies.

·Maintain communications with all level of employees and vendors relating to shipping and delivery.

· Receives and inspects all incoming materials against Bills of Ladings and packing lists.

· Loads and unloads materials us forklift, pallet jack, and carts.

· Stores and organizes inventory per requirements.

· Prepares and fulfills parts orders and spare parts for system shipping

· Interact with Purchasing to procure materials for fulfillments of parts and systems orders.

· Issues and updates inventory transactions as needed.

· Prepare and manage special projects related to shipping.

· Ensure policies and procedures are followed.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation in the areas outlined below.

EDUCATION

Prefer High School or equivalent GED; equivalent work experience maybe substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

Must have three to five years of working knowledge in domestic and international shipping, Performing Inventory Control and Material Expediting in manufacturing environment. Have a thorough understanding or hands on experience in manufacturing practices and procedures. Production management, planning, purchasing, or shipping/receiving experience is preferred.

Familiar with weight and measurement; domestic and international shipping, Federal Express/UPS On-Line shipping program, packing slips, bills of ladings, bill of materials, purchase orders, and invoices.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have strong computer skills; with experience in domestic and international shipping, NetSuite or equivalent database, MS Outlook, Excel and Word; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and attention to detail; and strong analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and effectively resolve inventory issues.

Ability to multi task, prioritize and work under deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to the completion of job responsibilities.

Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs and operate a forklift. A valid CA Driver’s License is required.
