The Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA is looking for a customer-focused Welcome Desk Associate to create a positive first impression for every member, guest, and visitor who walks through our doors. Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome members, guests, and program participants with friendly, professional customer service.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and connect individuals with the appropriate programs, services, or staff members.
• Manage member check-ins, verify account information, and support facility security procedures.
• Process memberships, program registrations, merchandise sales, and payments accurately.
• Share information about YMCA programs, events, and membership opportunities using available resources and promotional materials.
• Support membership growth through tours, program recommendations, and follow-up communications.
• Resolve member concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Complete shift-change procedures, daily reports, and closing tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records while using membership management software and other computer systems.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or membership services experience preferred.
• Cash-handling and transaction-processing experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn membership management systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or ability to obtain.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Compensation & Schedule

$10.00-$13.00 per hour

Part-time schedule with availability needed for:

• Evenings
• Weekends
