Software Developer - Windows Applications & SQL Server

We are seeking a full-time Software Developer to maintain, enhance, and develop internal business and manufacturing applications.

Our environment is primarily Microsoft-based, with a strong focus on Windows desktop applications, Visual Studio, and SQL Server. This role is a good fit for someone who is comfortable working with existing applications and databases, troubleshooting problems, and developing practical solutions for real business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktop applications.
• Support and enhance existing applications and established codebases.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and related SQL Server objects.
• Publish and deploy Windows applications, including ClickOnce deployments.
• Work with an on-premises source code repository and established source-control practices.
• Work directly with users and other developers to understand requirements, solve problems, and support deployed applications.

Skills & Experience

• Strong Windows desktop application development experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server.
• VB.NET and/or C# experience strongly preferred.
• Strong SQL skills, including queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting existing production applications.
• Experience with WinForms and ClickOnce deployment preferred.
• Crystal Reports experience is valued.
• Power BI experience is a plus.
• Manufacturing software experience is a strong plus.

We are a small development team and place a high value on experience, technical ability, reliability, and being able to work well with the team. Primary location of production facility is Olney, Texas, and while on-site is preferred, there could be some room for remote work as well.
