This role involves operating an 18-foot brake press to bend and form metal components according to work orders and specifications. You will set up and run machinery, use precision measuring devices, and interpret blueprints and welding procedure specifications (WPS) to ensure accurate, high-quality production in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
ResponsibilitiesYou will join a large, established operation with long-term stability and meaningful work, including projects that support military contracts. The organization promotes internal advancement and movement across roles, giving you clear pathways to grow your skills and career. You benefit from a MondayThursday schedule with partial-day Fridays, offering more predictable time for life outside of work. Compensation growth is structured and transparent, including a 30-day review increase, quarterly increases until reaching professional pay, and ongoing merit-based annual increases with no cap. In addition, a $1,000 retention bonus is paid after completing the first year, recognizing and rewarding your commitment.
Work EnvironmentYou will work on a large, open factory and plant floor that supports extensive fabrication and welding operations. The environment includes multiple welding stations, which contribute to dimmer overall lighting, and large overhead cranes positioned throughout the building for material handling. Ventilation is well maintained to support air quality in the production area. You will operate an 18-foot brake press and may work around other fabrication equipment such as punch presses, as well as in proximity to welding stations and cranes. The schedule follows a structured MondayThursday workweek with additional hours on Fridays, and roles are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts. The setting is industrial and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, proper use of measuring tools, and adherence to plant procedures and guidelines.
