Retail Staff Pharmacist in Walkerton, IN

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an Indiana Licensed Pharmacist to support a retail pharmacy serving the Walkerton and Winamac, IN areas. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong retail pharmacy experience to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing and pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and verify technician-prepared products before release
• Maintain the security and integrity of the pharmacy and controlled substances
• Enter patient information and orders precisely using the PioneerRx system (experience preferred)
• Provide excellent patient care and answer medication-related questions
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support daily operations and compliance

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Indiana pharmacist license required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm
• Weekend coverage required every other Saturday from 9am to 6pm
