  • Apply or learn basic electronic principles, including Ohms law, capacitance, resistance, inductance, current flow, and voltage relationships, as part of ongoing technical development.
  • Work safely in and around confined spaces and at heights, following all training and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement of plant processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in maintenance and mechanical repair of industrial or process equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, blenders, packaging machines, and related process equipment.

  • Working knowledge of power distribution systems from utility source through process equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read and use equipment prints, manuals, and basic sketches to remove, rebuild, and install equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including understanding of valves, pumps, and the internal workings of equipment.
  • Capability to maintain preventive maintenance and calibration programs for production process equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Schooling or formal education in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field is ideal.
  • Interest in learning basic electronic principles such as Ohms law, capacitance, resistance, inductance, current flow, and voltage laws.
  • Ability to sketch minor systems from verbal direction and translate concepts into practical installations.
  • Willingness to recommend and support implementation of new equipment or upgrades that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Comfort working in environments with strong industrial odors, similar to nail polish remover, which may vary in intensity throughout the facility.

Why Work Here?

Employees benefit from a comprehensive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a retirement savings plan with 401(k), paid time off, holiday pay, and annual pay increases. Team members can earn annual bonuses and incentives for perfect attendance, as well as payout of unused PTO. The organization offers significant room for growth, continuous learning, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in an advanced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The facility is a leading global producer of resin chemistries for composites and cast polymers, supporting industries that require high strength, durability, and chemical resistance. Work takes place in a heavy industrial setting with process equipment, open-air areas, and covered structures near shipping. The environment is not temperature-controlled, so conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The work area can be very dirty, and clothing may become permanently stained, so durable work attire is recommended. Employees must be comfortable with strong industrial odors comparable to nail polish remover, which may be stronger in some zones and less noticeable in others. The role requires comfort working at heights using harnesses and catwalks and performing tasks in confined spaces, with appropriate training and safety procedures provided. You will work around mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and light electrical systems, using tools, prints, and manuals to maintain and repair equipment in a dynamic, production-driven environment.
