Part-Time Construction Laborer

Stratford Homes LP- Stratford, WI

Part-Time | 16–30 Hours per Week

Flexible part-time hours available Monday–Friday between 6:00 AM and 2:20 PM. Specific workdays and hours will be determined based on production needs and an agreed-upon schedule.

Starting at $21.50/hour –higher starting pay may be available based on relevant construction experience.

Stratford Homes LP is seeking Part-Time Construction Laborers to join our modular home production team. This is a hands-on position where you will help build customized modular homes in a manufacturing environment. Previous construction experience is required. We welcome applicants who are ready to produce quality work.

What You Will Do

  • Frame and assemble floors, walls, partitions, and roof components.
  • Measure and cut lumber and other building materials.
  • Assist with roofing, siding, windows, doors, drywall, flooring, trim, cabinetry, insulation, painting, and detail finishing.
  • Perform plumbing or electrical work when assigned and appropriately trained.
  • Safely operate drills, saws, nail guns, hand tools, power tools, and air tools.
  • Follow home designs, work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and work cooperatively with the production team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately read a tape measure.
  • Ability to identify common lumber dimensions, including 2x4s, 2x6s, and similar building materials.
  • Basic math skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to learn construction methods and processes.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position and complete required safety training.

Experience

Experience in residential or commercial construction, carpentry, framing, roofing, siding, drywall, flooring, finish carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, painting, or another skilled trade is required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is an active construction position. Employees regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform physical labor. Work may include climbing ladders, working with arms extended or raised, lifting and carrying materials, and working in confined areas. The manufacturing environment can be loud and may include exposure to dust or airborne particles, flying debris, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

Part-Time | On-Site

This is a part-time position requiring 16–30 hours per week. Specific workdays and hours will be established based on production needs and an agreed-upon schedule. Additional hours may occasionally be offered or requested as production needs change.
