Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Industrial Steel Piping Sandblaster. This role maintains and operates sandblasting equipment to remove contaminants from steel piping spools. This is a single person department, where the individuals works independently to ensure both safety and quality in abrasive blasting processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial sandblasting and strong physical stamina to perform demanding tasks efficiently.
Important Hiring Information
- Home every evening. Zero travel required.
- Small-to-medium sized family owned business.
- Business hours are (4) 10 hour days Monday-Thursday.
- Positions are currently 1099 contract and not offering overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating or finishing through thorough abrasion
- Operate sandblasting equipment safely and effectively
- Handle abrasive materials to meet project specifications
- Maintain dust control during blasting operations to ensure a safe work environment
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial sandblasting
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in the operation of sandblasting equipment
- Knowledgeable about various abrasive materials
- Experienced with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance
- Strong physical stamina for solo, demanding work
- Effective team collaboration and problem-solving skills
