What’s a typical day as a 1st Shift Machinist? You’ll be:
  • Setting up and operating machinery to produce precision metal parts, tools, and equipment based on sketches, prints, or instruction manuals.
  • Inspecting parts visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances.
  • Cleaning and maintaining machines, troubleshooting and correcting simple manufacturing issues as needed.
  • Maintaining supplies and calibration records for relevant equipment.
  • Notifying supervisors when machinery requires maintenance or repairs.
  • Staying current on all quality and safety requirements.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have 2-4 years of experience as a machinist or machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Are skilled at setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC or manual machines.
  • Have strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality.
  • Are comfortable working a 1st shift schedule (M-F, 6:00am-2:00pm).
  • Are able to troubleshoot and resolve minor manufacturing issues efficiently.
