Home Front Solutions is hiring Outside Sales Representatives in Southern Pines, North Carolina for in-person, door-to-door residential fiber internet sales. Entry-level and early-career professionals and career changers are welcome. Product and field-process training are provided before independent territory work.

Pay and schedule

1099 independent contractor; commission only. No base salary, hourly wage, or guaranteed earnings. Advertised earning potential is $1,500-$3,000 per week depending on sales; this is potential, not typical or guaranteed pay. Review the written compensation plan, payment conditions, expenses, and cancellation/chargeback terms before onboarding.

Flexible scheduling, coordinated with training and approved territory access.

What you will do

  • Canvass approved, serviceable neighborhoods and start face-to-face conversations with residents.
  • Explain available fiber internet plans, pricing, address eligibility, and offer conditions.
  • Use consultative selling and objection handling to help residents choose suitable service.
  • Submit accurate orders, coordinate installation handoffs, and follow up with customers.
  • Record prospecting activity and follow-ups using a smartphone or CRM.
  • Respect residents, property, do-not-knock requests, and customer information.

What you need

  • Clear communication, listening skills, self-motivation, and reliable follow-through.
  • Comfort with door-to-door prospecting, walking neighborhoods, and working outdoors.
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned territory and a working smartphone.
  • Willingness to learn, practice, and apply coaching. No prior fiber sales experience required.

Experience that transfers

Skills from outside sales, pest control, roofing, solar, home improvement, telecom, retail, or hospitality can transfer to this work. Talking with homeowners, explaining options, organizing a route, handling objections, following up, and keeping accurate customer records are useful here.

Experience selling Spectrum or other cable, wireless, or fiber services is helpful but not required. This opportunity is with Home Front Solutions.

Entry-level and early-career professionals and career changers are welcome. No prior fiber sales experience is required. Bilingual communication skills are helpful.
