Machine Maintenance Supervisor

The Machine Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance activities for production machinery, material-handling equipment, packaging equipment, and other mixed industrial equipment. Reporting to plant, operations, maintenance, and engineering management, this role directly supervises technicians, leads a multi-shift team, coordinates contractors and technicians, and supports operational priorities including minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, increasing preventive maintenance completion, and supporting production expansion.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate preventive and planned maintenance activities.
• Supervise technicians across multiple shifts and coordinate contractors.
• Conduct equipment inspections and respond to machinery breakdowns.
• Manage work orders using CMMS, enterprise resource planning, paper-based, or combined systems.
• Maintain parts inventory and coordinate vendor support.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare maintenance reports and track equipment reliability and preventive maintenance completion.
• Support production expansion while minimizing downtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• OSHA safety certification.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
• Experience with industrial machinery, preventive maintenance, and planned maintenance systems.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Blueprint reading and root cause analysis experience.
• Team leadership, safety management, and technical communication skills.
