The Building Engineer supports our hotel and guest rooms by maintaining reliable, safe, and efficient building operations. Working independently on assigned projects and reporting to the facilities manager, with a primary focus on HVAC, mechanical systems, plumbing and water systems, preventive maintenance, and building improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance in general areas and guest rooms.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Complete plumbing repairs and maintain plumbing and water systems.
- Respond to and track work orders through completion.
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements.
- Coordinate routine vendors and support contractor activities.
- Lead assigned building improvement projects.
- resolve facility issues independently
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in building engineering.
- Experience with HVAC systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
