We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, building relationships, and making sure the details never fall through the cracks. You'll play an important role in keeping our office running smoothly and helping our clients receive the accurate, reliable service they deserve.

What You'll Do

You'll be an important part of our day-to-day operations, helping keep policies accurate, clients informed, and business moving forward.

•Keep the details on track: Process insurance documents, review carrier downloads, maintain communication logs, and ensure records are complete and accurate.

•Make policies right: Review policies for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections when needed.

•Support the full policy lifecycle: Process and follow up on new business, policy endorsements, and renewals.

•Help clients stay covered: Prepare and issue certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance (EOls), and auto ID cards.

•Keep communication flowing: Prepare new business and renewal letters and distribute policies to customers.

•Stay on top of the details: Maintain organized records of documents, emails, underwriting requests, and other important communications.

•Be a friendly voice: Answer incoming calls, process mail, and help customers get the assistance they need.

•Handle billing and payments: Generate customer invoices and process payments accurately.

•Assist with claims requests: Receive and process customer claim requests.

•Build lasting relationships: Deliver responsive, dependable service that helps strengthen client relationships and retention.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

You are organized, dependable, and someone who takes pride in getting the details right. You enjoy working with people, can shift priorities when needed, and appreciate being part of a team where everyone contributes.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• An active Michigan Property & Casualty license, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.

•Two or more years of insurance experience (preferred).

• An interest in learning commercial insurance and understanding how coverages apply.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

•Excellent attention to detail, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

•Basic computer skills and the willingness to learn new systems. Experience with Applied Epic is a plus.

•A positive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to keep learning and growing.
