Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review mechanical construction estimates and project takeoffs.
Verify quantities, material costs, labor requirements, and subcontractor pricing.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotations.
Work closely with leadership to review estimates and finalize bids before submission.
Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.
Identify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and scope discrepancies.
Maintain estimating documentation and support the bid preparation process.
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in mechanical contracting.
Previous experience in a lead estimating capacity.
Strong understanding of mechanical construction projects, materials, labor, and costs.
Experience reviewing takeoffs and preparing customer-ready estimates.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
