Position Details

- Schedule: Rotating weekends
- Salary: $32–$40 per hour for candidates with approximately 10 years of experience; up to $48 per hour for candidates with 17+ years of experience
- Night Shift Differential: Additional $4.25 per hour
- Sign-On Bonus: Available on a case-by-case basis
- Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.
- Care for patients requiring ventilator support, continuous monitoring, and multiple medication drips.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Advocate for patient safety, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital policies and evidence-based practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or an approved multistate compact RN license.
- At least 1 year of recent acute-care ICU nursing experience, preferably within the last 2–3 years.
- Candidates with 2+ years of PCU nursing experience may also be considered.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Strong critical-thinking, assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
