Key Qualities & Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or in educational settings preferred
• Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing attitude
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, teachers, and staff
• Ability to assist in instructional activities under teacher guidance
• Must be willing to apply for the para exam as part of the onboarding process
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction by reinforcing lesson content with individuals or small groups
• Assist special education or general education students with daily activities
• Collaborate with teachers to help manage classroom behavior and provide a positive learning atmosphere
• Offer encouragement and support, fostering a welcoming environment for all students
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch periods as needed
• Carry out administrative and classroom organization tasks assigned by the teaching staff
