Job Description
We are looking for a Production Line Support specialist to provide hands-on technical assistance for critical manufacturing systems in Ohio. This Long-term Contract position supports production operations by resolving desktop, application, and network issues that affect line performance, while partnering closely with plant personnel to keep systems running reliably. The role is primarily onsite and is well suited for someone who can troubleshoot efficiently, follow established procedures, and escalate complex incidents when needed.

Responsibilities:
• Provide frontline technical support for production-floor computers, desktop applications, and connected networked devices that support essential manufacturing activity.
• Respond to incidents affecting line-critical systems, restore service by following documented recovery steps, and route unresolved issues to the appropriate advanced support teams.
• Work directly with plant users to understand operational workflows, clarify technical problems, and deliver support aligned with production needs.
• Monitor the health and status of key Tier 1 systems, interpret alerts, and take timely action to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Assist with planned technology initiatives, including hardware refreshes, software deployments, and other improvements to production-support environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving desktop PCs, laptops, printers, handheld devices, and scanning equipment used on the plant floor.
• Manage support tickets with clear updates, accurate documentation, and proper prioritization to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Contribute to process documentation and maintain support records that help improve service consistency and future troubleshooting efforts.• Hands-on experience supporting end-user applications, desktop hardware, and computing devices in an operational or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10, Active Directory, and foundational networking concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using an incident or ticket management system.
• Ability to support escalated issues across multiple support levels and coordinate effectively with broader technical teams.
• Demonstrated skill in diagnosing hardware problems involving PCs, laptops, printers, scan guns, and handheld equipment.
• Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving ability in time-sensitive situations.
• Solid communication, organization, and time-management skills with the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Familiarity with structured IT processes, documented procedures, and general business systems; exposure to Unix or Linux environments is preferred.
