Occupational Therapist School Setting - Chester, VT

Step into a dynamic, student-centered educational environment serving K-12 students across four buildings. This contract opportunity engages passionate Occupational Therapists to support Springfield area schools for the full academic year. Whether you prefer in-person or are open to virtual service pitch opportunities, your skills will be pivotal in collaborating with a forward-thinking district dedicated to student success.

Occupational Therapists will provide direct and consultative therapy district-wide to K-12 students, while a COTA will focus on 5th-12th graders and select 2nd-4th grade classrooms, always under the supervision of the district OT. Full-time schedules are available, typically 35-37.5 hours weekly, starting in late August and concluding in mid-June.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont OT or COTA Certification is required
• Prior school-based experience with K-12 preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Adaptable to multiple school sites and flexible environments
• Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and providing virtual or in-person services

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver interventions supporting students with diverse needs
• Work closely with educators and families to maximize student access and participation
• Support district initiatives for inclusive education
• Document progress and participate in IEP processes
• Supervise and collaborate with the COTA as needed
