Description
Our client is an established eastern Idaho home services company under new local leadership, and they are adding a lead to run their underground and excavation work out of Rigby, covering Idaho Falls and the surrounding area. This is hands on work: you run the machine and lead a two person crew on sewer laterals, water service lines, main repairs, septic, and new construction trenching. Winter is their busy season for excavation, so this is year round work, not a seasonal layoff at frost. If you know your way around a trench and want to lead, this one is worth a look.

• Operate an excavator and related equipment to dig, backfill, and restore residential sites safely
• Install, repair, and replace sewer laterals, water service lines, and main line connections
• Install and repair septic systems and trench for new construction
• Lead and train a helper on the job, keeping the crew safe and productive
• Locate utilities, set up trench safety, and follow OSHA excavation standards
• Work with the in house journeyman on permitted work and inspections
• Finish jobs on schedule and leave sites clean for the homeowner
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Proven experience running an excavator or backhoe on underground utility, sewer, or water work
