Compression Molding Press Technician

Location: Canton, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time | Weekly Pay + Benefits

You clock in, review your work instructions, and confirm your press and labeling scan gun are ready. As parts cycle from the molding press, you carefully inspect each piece, assemble subcomponents, apply labels, and package to spec. You record production counts, quality checks, and scrap in the system, keeping pace without compromising standards. When something sounds off, you flag the issue and alert the lead, keeping safety, housekeeping, and environmental rules front and center. By shift end, your area is organized, the paperwork is accurate, and your team is set up for a smooth handoff.

• Hands-on work in a modern plastics molding department with our partner, ConMet
• Operate molding presses and use labeling scan guns
• Inspect, assemble, label, and package parts exactly to work instructions
• Accurately log production, quality checks, and scrap
• Meet production and quality targets while maintaining safe, clean work areas
• Report equipment concerns promptly to supervisors or leads
• Follow all safety, environmental, and workplace procedures

• 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00pm–7:30am | $20.50/hr + $2.00/hr shift differential = $22.50/hr
• 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–7:30pm | $20.50/hr

Flexibility required: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including mandatory and voluntary overtime as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year in manufacturing, production, machine operation, or assembly preferred
• Comfort using a computer and handheld scan gun
• Keen eye for detail and quality
• Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
