Staging Assistant

Spark Staging is looking for a dependable, hands-on, and highly organized Staging Assistant to join our team.

At Spark, we transform spaces into stories. We're a Chicago-based environmental branding design studio that helps companies bring their brand to life through custom installations, curated dcor, murals, signage, and more. Our staging team plays a hands-on role in making every project happen from the warehouse to the job site.

As a Staging Assistant, you'll be at the center of that work. You'll keep our warehouse running smoothly, manage the inventory that fuels every project, and occasionally get out on-site to see the finished product come together. We're a collaborative, close-knit team that values people who show up ready to work and take ownership of their space. And yes we work a 4-day workweek, Monday through Thursday. Long weekends aren't a perk here, they're just how we do things.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

• Receive large deliveries including pallets; unload, unbox, and inspect incoming merchandise
• Organize and shelve dcor, artwork, books, pots, faux plants, and staging materials
• Break down and manage packing materials and warehouse waste
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-organized warehouse environment

• Pack and pull dcor and staging materials for upcoming projects
• Unpack and reshelve returned or unused items after installations
• Coordinate and oversee third party moving partner pick ups and deliveries

Inventory Management

• Maintain and update the online inventory tracking system
• Track product and materials moving in and out of the warehouse
• Record products used in each staging project
• Monitor stock levels and flag items that need restocking or reordering
• Assist with periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy

On-Site Project Support (as needed)

• Support the staging team on project installations
• Assist with installing faux plants and large plant arrangements
• Help transport and place dcor items on-site
• Ensure materials are handled carefully and efficiently during load-in and load-out
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs, move large items, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods
• Experience with inventory management systems (specifically inFlow) or warehouse organization is a plus
• Google Workspace (specifically Google Docs) experience
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
