Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of data center, low-voltage, or data infrastructure experience
Hands-on experience with fiber and copper cabling
Knowledge of switches, switch ports, patch panels, and SFPs
Ability to read cable maps and trace connections from point A to point B
Familiarity with fiber connectors such as MPO, LC, SC, or MMC
Previous large-scale or hyperscale data center experience preferred
OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it prior to starting
Job Description
Insight Global is hiring Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center project in Temple, TX. We are looking for experienced technicians with strong backgrounds in data center infrastructure, fiber/copper cabling, and network connectivity. The pay rate for this role is between $30–$45/hour, depending on experience, with overtime and double-time opportunities available.
Schedule Options-
Day Shift: Approximately 6:30 AM–5:30 PM
Night Shift: Approximately 4:30 PM–3:30 AM
Day to Day:
Perform port auditing, patching, and connectivity validation
Trace cable connections between servers, switches, patch panels, and related equipment
Read and interpret port maps, cable schedules, and cable matrices
Troubleshoot fiber and copper connectivity issues
Support cable routing, patching, and infrastructure documentation
