Georgia Peach World is a family-owned and operated retail country store, and we're looking for a motivated, hardworking, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team!

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and understands the importance of driving sales while maintaining a positive and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations.
• Open and close the store while ensuring all company procedures are followed.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
• Train and coach new employees on customer engagement, product knowledge, upselling techniques, and daily operational duties.
• Motivate team members to increase sales through product recommendations, sampling, and effective customer interactions.
• Assist with employee supervision, task delegation, and maintaining team accountability.
• Monitor store cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and product presentation.
• Help identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Lead by example through a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to being Peach Proud!
  

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or sales experience required.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to engage customers and motivate employees.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and support team members.
• Dependable, hardworking, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay rate starts at $20-$22 an hour.
• Overtime is paid at 1.5X hourly rate. Anything over 40 hours in 1 week is set as overtime.
• Paid Time Off - all employees, even entry-level, can earn PTO after the first 60 days!
• Healthcare - United Healthcare plans are available, entry-level employees get a set contribution after 60 days of employment! Dental and vision are also available.
• 401(K) Match - 4% 401(K) match after 1 year of employment

PTO accrual rates and healthcare contributions are increased for all manager positions.

What began as a humble roadside fruit stand, created to provide summer jobs for local students and fresh produce for travelers along I-95, has grown into a family-owned and operated collection of country stores and fruit markets. Over the past 15 years, our little fruit stand has grown, but our roots have remained the same.
