Welder

Join our team as a Welder, where you will be responsible for MIG welding steel components. You will play an integral role in creating portable traffic signals by reading blueprints and welding pieces together. While MIG welding on steel is your primary task, you may also occasionally operate fabrication equipment such as CNC machines and press brakes. Enjoy a variety of projects as you work with different product lines, ensuring no two days are the same.

• Perform MIG welding on steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints to weld pieces accurately.
• Occasionally operate fabrication equipment, including CNC and press brakes.
• Adapt to different models and blueprints based on customer requirements.

• 1+ years of MIG welding experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Capability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.

• Experience with fabrication and welding processes.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

Work the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays during busy periods. Our company emphasizes work-life balance, so Saturdays are not typically full days. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a t-shirt, and welding gloves. Join a team of about 30 employees, with plans for expansion into a new building.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
