Oxford Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for an opportunity with a client in the commercial construction industry. This role requires a hands-on professional who can successfully manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, overseeing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and overall project execution.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing projects from pre-construction through completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, contracts, purchasing, and material procurement.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and manage change orders.
- Track project costs, review invoices, and maintain budget controls.
- Conduct project meetings and coordinate with field personnel to keep projects on schedule.
- Oversee project closeout, including inspectionsand final documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably across multiple projects at once.
- Background in commercial building construction, renovations, or ground-up projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and project coordination.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
- Experience with construction estimating or accounting software is a plus.
