Job Summary Designplan Lighting is a manufacturing company located in beautiful Hunterdon County NJ. We are seeking an experienced
Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records involving the daily processing of new orders, daily invoicing, cash application and collections, and commission processing. This position collaborates closely with other departments such as finance and customer service. Experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities- Processing and accurately recording/processing new orders and invoices, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Daily deposit and applications of various types of payments
- Collections and the maintenance of the Customer Database
- Review and maintain Commissions reporting and inquires
- Creating accurate month end reports
- Collaborating with other departments to gather additional information, ensure accounts are up-to-date, and correct
Qualifications- High School diploma or an Associate's Degree in accounting or a related field
- Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar position
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
