Job Title: RN PCU/Stepdown
Location: Urbana, IL 61801
Shift: Nights | 7 PM 7 AM
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours/week: 36 Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
- ASN/Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
- Active Illinois RN License in good standing.
- BLS American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and critical-thinking skills.
Mandatory Skills: Must have experience in EMU, Stepdown or PCU unit/speciality.
Job Responsbilites:
Monitor EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity and promptly communicate changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with the critical care team in caring for Advanced Care patients.
Work closely with hospitalists to coordinate and provide appropriate patient care.
Perform meaningful hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting.
Maintain effective communication with patients and families using appropriate communication tools, including bedside whiteboards.
