Pay Rate & Schedule:
$26.00–$28.00/hour DOE | Monday–Friday, day shift, 40 hrs base | Weekly pay every Friday | Overtime opportunities as business demand requires | At $28/hr and 60 hrs/week, for example, earn weekly paychecks of $1,960 gross.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dependable Heavy Equipment Operators to perform daily earthmoving work at a mineral processing site. Under direct supervision, you will operate mining equipment safely and productively while supporting overburden handling and ore/soil segregation. This is a great opportunity for a team player who is eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Caterpillar scrapers, dozers, and motor graders for daily earthmoving
- Handle overburden and properly segregate ore and soil
- Operate dozers and loaders in stockpile settings
- Apply working knowledge of hydraulic principles to operate equipment efficiently
- Follow all site safety rules and procedures, including required PPE
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience operating Caterpillar 637 scrapers, D9 dozers, and 140 motor graders in a mine setting, OR general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozers and 980 loaders in a stockpile setting
- Working knowledge of overburden handling and ore/soil segregation
- General knowledge of hydraulic principles
- Commitment to safe, productive equipment operation
- Dependable, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR review
