Avacend Health is hiring experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) for day and night shift contract opportunities in Georgia. Join a dedicated maternity care team providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to mothers and newborns.

OPEN POSITIONS

1. RN – Labor & Delivery | Days & Nights

• Location: Augusta, Georgia
• Shift: Days or Nights
• Pay Rate:$50–$55/hour, depending on experience
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

2. RN – Labor & Delivery | Nights

• Location: Douglasville, Georgia
• Shift: Nights
• Pay Rate:$45–$50/hour, depending on experience
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rates, and uterine activity.
• Recognize and respond promptly to maternal and fetal complications.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and implement prescribed treatment plans.
• Perform postpartum assessments and provide newborn care within the RN's scope of practice.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with facility policies and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive maternal and neonatal outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification; NRP and other certifications may be required.
• Strong clinical assessment, fetal monitoring, and emergency response skills.
• Ability to work the assigned day or night shift.
• Successful completion of facility credentialing and onboarding requirements.
