Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Southeast region. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial packaging and processing equipment at customer facilities. You'll work directly with production and maintenance teams to keep equipment running efficiently while providing a high level of technical support.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of large-scale packaging and processing equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues on complex industrial machinery
- Diagnose issues involving PLCs, VFDs, servo motors, sensors, motors, and industrial communication networks
- Apply electrical fundamentals, including circuitry, power distribution, temperature sensing devices (RTDs and thermocouples), and control systems troubleshooting
- Utilize mechanical knowledge of bearings, gear ratios, power transmission systems, conveyor tracking, and machine alignment to resolve equipment issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service documentation
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, machine start-ups, and equipment optimization
- Deliver exceptional customer support while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Travel throughout the assigned region to support customer sites
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
What You Need for This Position:
- Field service experience working with electrical and mechanical machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems and identify root causes independently
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, servo motors, 480V systems, and industrial electrical circuitry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Experience working with food processing and/or packaging equipment preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region
- Ability to travel daily with frequent overnight stays
