The Medical Assistant will support patient care in a specialty clinic and primary care practice, reporting to the practice manager. This role will help deliver efficient, compassionate clinical support through patient intake, routine procedures, care coordination, and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient intake, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Schedule appointments and support efficient patient flow.
- Perform medication reconciliation and maintain accurate patient information.
- Collect specimens and support phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
- Assist with injections and immunizations.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with EKGs and diagnostic testing.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in clinical medical assisting.
- Medical assisting certificate or diploma.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
