CNC Turning Center Operator

Join Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division on our third shift and keep production humming through the night. Your core hours are 10:30 pm–6:30 am, with an hourly base of $22.52 plus a $1.50/hour shift premium.

When the lights are bright and the plant is quiet, you’re the pro ensuring the work never stops. You’ll rotate between two or more CNC lathes, chuckers, and turning centerssome equipped with robotic, automatic, or manual load/unload systemskeeping cycle times tight and quality consistent. You’ll also run Six Spindle Automatic Bar Machines to meet schedule demands.

Before a run, you review operation sheets, tapes, and blueprints, verify tooling, and load the automatic tool changer. During production, you gauge parts using adjustable and fixed gauges, document results, and hold parts to spec. If something drifts, you help isolate and correct malfunctions in machining and control units to bring everything back into control.

Between jobs, you’ll follow standard work, maintain visual controls (charts, schedules, and more), and record accurate data. You’ll keep machines and work areas clean and orderly, performing minor maintenance like cleaning, inspections, light lubrication, and tightening loose fasteners so the next cycle starts flawlessly.

• At least 1 year of hands-on CNC operation experience, or completion of a CNC certificate program
• High school diploma or GED
• Located within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY (no relocation offered)
