About the Opportunity
The Midtown Group is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager on behalf of a growing Mid-Atlantic organization undergoing a major technology modernization initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative IT team and play a key role in enterprise-wide technology projects, including ERP implementations, business systems integrations, data and analytics initiatives, and operational technology improvements.
This is not a traditional "calendar management" project manager role. We are seeking a hands-on professional who can effectively bridge business needs and technology solutions while helping drive projects from requirements gathering through implementation and user adoption.
What You'll Do
Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage multiple enterprise technology projects from initiation through deployment
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other departments to gather requirements
- Translate business needs into actionable project plans and technical requirements
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership
- Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and implementation recommendations
Enterprise Systems & Integrations
- Lead implementations and integrations involving ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, analytics tools, and other enterprise applications
- Support projects involving data warehouse, reporting, mobile technology, and operational systems
- Ensure new solutions integrate effectively with existing business systems and processes
Testing, Training & Change Management
- Coordinate testing efforts, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Assist with change management initiatives and end-user adoption
- Support development of training materials and process documentation
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies through technology initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
- Experience managing enterprise technology implementations and system integrations
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience gathering business requirements and working directly with stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and change management activities
- Ability to work onsite in Annapolis, MD, five days per week
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- Experience with ERP implementations and business systems projects
- Exposure to business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or data warehouse initiatives
- Experience working in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or enterprise technology environments
- PMP, ITIL, CBAP, or related certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
