Assistant Controller

Growing Biotech located in central NJ seeks Assistant Controller to join team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for taking ownership of various work streams within the controllership organization and contributing to the development and implementation of best practices within the accounting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, external reporting processes and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate (requirement for anyone filing corporate financial documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission) required.

• Minimum 10 years of related accounting experience required, preferably in public accounting and within Life Sciences or Biotechnology industries at a publicly traded company are required.

• Experience leading quarterly and annual SEC filing activities is preferred.
