Senior Software Engineer - Python / Capital Markets

We are seeking an experiencedSenior Software Engineer to support the development and modernization of enterprise applications within Capital Markets and Treasury Technology.

This role focuses on building scalable applications, data pipelines, APIs, and automation solutions usingPython, SQL, JavaScript, and AWS. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on software engineering experience, knowledge of Capital Markets, and the ability to independently design, develop, and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications usingPython, SQL, JavaScript, and Terraform.

• Build scalabledata pipelines, APIs, automation frameworks, and backend services supporting Capital Markets and Treasury operations.

• Develop clean, reusable, well-tested Python code following engineering best practices.

• Build and enhance web applications, dashboards, and workflow tools usingDash/Flask, React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.

• Modernize legacy applications and manual processes through automation and improved software architecture.

• Collaborate with Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Support AWS cloud infrastructure, includingECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, VPC, and Security Groups.

• Manage source control, automated testing, deployments, andCI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

• Identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.

• Explore and implementAI-driven solutions, including agentic workflows, RAG, and enterprise AI integrations.

• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship to engineering teams.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting enterprise applications.

• Strong hands-onPython development experience, including application design, testing, and performance optimization.

• StrongSQL expertise, including relational databases, complex queries, optimization, and data modeling.

• Experience designing and developingdata pipelines, APIs, and enterprise application architectures.

• Experience developing solutions supportingCapital Markets, including securities, derivatives, hedging, or interest rates.

• Experience withJavaScript and modern web application development.

• Experience withGitLab or similar CI/CD tools.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, and production support.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience withAWS, Terraform, and cloud-native application development.

• Experience withReact, Angular, Vue, Dash, or Flask.

• Knowledge ofAI/ML, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, and workflow orchestration.

• Experience withJira, including APIs, integrations, and data models.

• Experience in banking, Treasury, Risk, Finance, or Accounting.

• StrongExcel VBA skills and experience modernizing spreadsheet-based processes.

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
