Job Description
Moog in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks an Assembler 1 to assemble products per approved work instructions on a 9/80 schedule. This entry-level role provides training and support to ensure successful and compliant assembly outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Read work instructions and verify they match the assigned job.
- Learn and follow new work instructions as required.
- Collect required materials from bins and set up workstations per instructions.
- Assemble parts and inspect own work to specified standards.
- Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as required.
- Complete required training in a timely manner.
- Assist manufacturing staff and support other projects as requested by management.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and understand device/work instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- Soldering skills. IPC soldering certification preferred.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs on a repeated basis.
- Close vision, color vision, and depth perception sufficient for assembly and inspection tasks.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with tens and hundreds, and use of U.S. units for money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Ability to carry out tasks through detailed written or oral instructions. Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Able to perform in a highly regulated, compliance-oriented environment while delivering service excellence.
Preferred Skills:
- IPC soldering certification.
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience in a regulated environment.
