Rooster Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Nurse Manager to lead a specialized Ventilator Unit at a respected Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx.

This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with hands-on ventilator unit leadership experience who is comfortable managing medically complex residents, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring high standards of resident care.

This is a weekend-only position, offering competitive hourly compensation and a generous sign-on bonus.

• Manage the daily operations of a specialized Ventilator Unit during weekend shifts.

• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs caring for ventilator-dependent residents.

• Ensure high-quality, person-centered care for medically complex residents.

• Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Monitor resident assessments, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee infection prevention practices and adherence to CDC isolation precautions.

• Support staff education, competency validation, and performance management.

• Promote a collaborative work environment focused on resident safety and clinical excellence.

• Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and facility regulations.

• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

• Previous experience managing a Ventilator Unit is required.

• Proven ventilator unit leadership experience.

• Strong experience with airway suctioning and tracheostomy care.

• Thorough understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions.

• Experience with advanced wound care and management of chronic skin conditions, including infectious wounds.

• Ability to supervise and support nursing staff caring for medically complex residents.

• Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility experience required.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Reliable attendance and professional demeanor.
