We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable professional who takes pride in their work, keeps our house and grounds spaces spotless and well stocked, and offers guests and facilitators the warm, polished hospitality that sets Rooted Oaks apart.
What you’ll do
- Clean and maintain the main house, guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, program spaces, and other areas of the property so everything stays clean and tidy.
- Provide turnover service between guests and retreats: strip beds, wash linens, remake beds, and refresh bathroom towels.
- Keep guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and program spaces fully stocked with linens, towels, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and guest essentials.
- Track supply levels, report what is running low, and help keep storage areas organized.
- Do laundry for bedding, towels, and other linens, and fold and store them neatly.
- Ready rooms and spaces ahead of guest arrivals and program sessions, and reset them afterward.
- Help guests and facilitators with their needs in a friendly, professional way during their stay.
- Spot and report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns right away.
- Respect guest privacy and keep guests’ belongings and information confidential.
What you bring
- 2+ years of professional housekeeping or cleaning experience.
- Hospitality experience (hotel, resort, vacation rental, retreat center, or bed-and-breakfast) strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in a beautifully kept space.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning products and practices, and of proper linen and laundry care.
- A professional, presentable appearance and a friendly, courteous manner with guests.
- Good time management and the ability to work through room turnovers efficiently.
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday, including weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, climb stairs, and stand and walk for long periods.
- Reliable transportation.
Who you are
- Detail-oriented and thorough; you notice the little things that make a room feel just right.
- Warm, polished, and professional, comfortable being part of the guest experience.
- Dependable and self-directed, able to manage your day with minimal supervision.
- Discreet and trustworthy with guests’ privacy and belongings.
