Warehouse Associate 2nd Shift

Warehouse Associate in Commerce, CA $19.15/hr, 2nd shift, temporary. Move, pick, and prepare produce orders using an electric pallet jack and sit-down forklift.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Keep food products moving accurately from receiving through shipping.

Support warehouse operations by moving product, picking orders, and preparing shipments. You will use an electric pallet jack and a sit-down forklift and verify product and quantities as orders move through the warehouse.

Weekend availability is required, with one day off during the week and one day off on the weekend. This afternoon shift includes overtime. Expect active work around moving equipment, repeated material handling, and food-storage areas where temperatures may vary.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate an electric pallet jack to move product safely
• Operate a sit-down forklift for assigned warehouse moves
• Load and unload product following site procedures
• Pick orders and verify item and quantity accuracy
• Pack, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
• Count inventory and report shortages or damaged product
• Record product movements and follow food-safety handling instructions

WHAT YOU NEED

• Experience operating an electric pallet jack
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift
• Ability to work 1:00 PM–9:40 PM and overtime, including weekends
• Ability to verify product, quantities, and order information accurately
• Ability to follow warehouse traffic rules and safe material-handling procedures

NICE TO HAVE

• Food or produce warehouse experience
• Picking, packing, and shipping experience
• Inventory counting experience
• Familiarity with GMP and food-safety practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand and walk during warehouse tasks, bend and reach to handle product, and use hands and arms repeatedly for picking, packing, and equipment controls. Specific lifting demands will be reviewed before placement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Food warehouse with palletized product, forklifts, pallet jacks, loading activity, and possible temperature changes. PPE is required and provided, and all plant safety procedures apply.
